WHAT IS TACOLIST?

Tacolist is a free on-line website, for the Hispanic community, where users can post or browse listings to buy, sell or trade products, meet friends, find love, exchange information on events, classes, ideas and in general… connect and unite. Please see the “About Us” section for more info.

WHERE DOES THE NAME COME FROM?

The name Tacolist.com came from Totally Automated Community Operated list.

And besides… we all love tacos & the name just makes us smile.

 

IS TACOLIST REALLY FREE?

Yes, it is absolutely 100% free for everyone!  Whether you are posting an ad to sell your house, buy a car, meet someone, get a job, or anything you choose to do on Tacolist…IT’S FREE!

HOW DO I REPORT A BUG I’VE ENCOUNTERED ON THE SITE?

CAN I VIEW THE ADS ON TACOLIST IN SPANISH OR ENGLISH?

You can do either.  In the top right corner of Tacolist.com, select “English or Espanol”

DO I NEED TO REGISTER ON TACOLIST TO BROWSE THE ADS?

NO, you don’t need to register!  To browse postings, simply go to Tacolist.com, select your country (USA or Mexico), then select your city, and browse away! 

DO I HAVE TO REGISTER TO POST AN AD ON TACOLIST?

YES, to post ads on Tacolist, you must register first.

HOW DO I REGISTER ON TACOLIST?

  • You only need to register the first time you post an ad.
  • Select “Register”.  It’s on the top right corner of Tacolist.com.
  • Fill in the required information in the green box on the left side of the screen
  • Click the red “register” button
  • Now, there’s one more quick step–> Go to your email account to get your confirmation email from Tacolist.com.  It should show up in your inbox within a few minutes.
  • If you do not see this email in your inbox, check your Spam/Bulk/Junk emails
  • Open the email, and select “Click Here to Open Account.”
  • This will take you back to Tacolist.com
  • Login to the green box with your email & password and you’re ready to post your ads!
  • You are now a Taco Citizen.  Welcome!
  • Again, you will only have to do this the first time you register.

 

HOW DO I POST AN AD?

  • Click on ‘Sign In’ on the upper right corner
  • Login with your email and password and then click the RED “Login” button
  • Click on the green “Post Free Ads” tab
  • Select the location/category that you want to post in
  • Write the Title and Description of your ad.  You can include anything that you want, so long as it’s not illegal or offensive.
  • You can upload up to four images
  • Make sure all the * Required Fields are filled in
  • Select the location/city where you would like to post
  • Next, click the “Preview Ad’ red button.
  • This will allow you to check your ad before you post it.
  • If you want to make changes, select EDIT.
  • To post your ad, click the red “Post your ad” button

WHY HAVE I NOT RECEIVED A CONFIRMATION EMAIL?

When you register to be a member of Tacolist for the first time, you will receive a confirmation email.  If you do not get this within 1 hour, you should check your Spam/Bulk/Junk email.   If it does not arrive in either your email or Spam mail, you might have made a typing error.  Try it again, and if you still don´t receive an email, let us know at contacto@tacolist.com and we’ll get back to you.

HOW CAN I INCLUDE PICTURES TO MY AD?

  • When you’re posting an ad, click on “Browse”
  • Next select an image from your computer
  • Images must be JPEG format
  • You can add up to 4 pictures

 

CAN I POST MY AD IN BOTH SPANISH & ENGLISH?

Yes!  Just choose English or Espanol on the top right-hand corner.

HOW OFTEN CAN I POST?

As much as you want.

HOW LONG DOES MY POSTING LAST ON THE SITE?

Your posting will last for 90 days or more.

WHY WAS MY POSTING DELETED?

Your ad will only be deleted if it includes anything illegal or offensive.

 

HOW CAN I EDIT OR DELETE MY POST?

Go to Tacolist.com and login. Select the “My Account” red tab.  Scroll to the ad you would like to change or delete. Then select “Edit” or “Delete” on the right side of the ad, written in blue.

 

HOW DO I REPLY OR CONTACT THE POSTER OF AN AD?

You can contact the person who posted the ad by writing your letter in the GREEN ´Contact Poster´ box on the right side of the page.  Remember to include your full email address and enter the ´Verification Code´.   Then press the RED ´Send´ button.  Your email will be sent directly to them.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I SEE AN AD THAT I THINK IS SPAM, OFFENSIVE, MISCATEGORIZED OR ILLEGAL?

WHAT KIND OF POSTINGS ARE PROHIBITED?

Anything that is illegal is prohibited.  No pornographic images, nudity, obscenity and profanity are allowed. Ads promoting illegal activity, including but not limited to Escort Services or prostitution are prohibited.

HOW CAN I ADVERTISE WITH A BANNER AD?

Tacolist is always happy to consider promoting & supporting organizations and non-profits that benefit the Hispanic community.  If there is something you’re doing to make a difference, let us know at contacto@tacolist.com . All others that want to advertise with a banner ad should also email us.

I FORGOT MY PASSWORD – HOW DO I SIGN IN?

*    Click “Sign In”

*    Click “Forgot Password”

*    Enter your email address and click the red “Forgot Password” button.

*    Check your inbox/spam folder for  “Forgot Password @ Tacolist. com”. The email will

have a new computer generated password.

*   Click the link to “login to tacolist.com” and enter your email address and new computer

generated password. This will sign you into your account

*   To change your password, click “My Account” tab, click the “My Profile” button, and

then click on “Change Password”.

*    Where it says ‘Old Password”, enter the computer generated password.  Next, enter and

confirm a new password. Finish by clicking the red “Change” button.

HOW DO I CHANGE MY PASSWORD?

*     Click on “Sign In” and type in your email and password.

*     Click “My Account” tab, click the “My Profile” button, and then click on “Change

Password”.

*    Where it says ‘Old Password”, enter your current password.  Next, enter and

confirm a new password. Finish by clicking the red “Change” button.

WHO IS “SENOR GATO-TACO”?

Many people ask us this question. Senor Gato-Taco is our office mascot. We are all Mexican, even our mascot. We rescued this cat from the streets. He was homeless and was living in an animal shelter being put up for adoption. Senor Gato-Taco has been with us for 16 years and that is why we support and promote the adoption of pets in Mérida,Yucatán, México. ADOPT, DON’T BUY!
